Overview and introduction to SPADE

For instructions on the various aspects of running and analyzing results from SPADE, read through the various Cytobank Support articles on SPADE.

SPADE stands for "Spanning-tree Progression Analysis of Density-normalized Events." SPADE clusters phenotypically-similar cells into a hierarchy that allows high-throughput, multidimensional analysis of heterogeneous samples. Read more about it in this publication:

Extracting a cellular hierarchy from high-dimensional cytometry data with SPADE. Qiu P, et al. Nat Biotechnol (2011) 29(10):886-91

You can get started running a SPADE analysis on your data by navigating to your experiment, and clicking on "Advanced Analyses" on the experiment level navigation bar, then under the dropdown menu, choose SPADE.
